The Reset Retreat: Hayashi Kominka
Set in the tranquil countryside of Yamanashi, reconnect with nature while enjoying the charm of a 124 year old Japanese folk house with modern comforts, international cuisine, and heartfelt hospitality - right beside a private bamboo forest
Why
Hayashi Kominka is the embodiment of a dream that was on the back burner for 30 years. Past experiences that impressed me so much that I wish to pass them on to more people in this crazy, busy world. Depart feeling rested, heads cleared, hearts stilled.
At Hayashi Kominka, your comfort is paramount to us. We prepare our environment for you to feel as relaxed as possible the moment you step onto our premises. Think marshmallow towels, long pillows, luxury bath amenities; all thoughtfully curated to enhance your stay with us.
Wake up to the smells of freshly dripped coffee, handmade breads, scrambled local eggs, homemade miso soup. While waiting for breakfast, have a walk around the quiet neighbourhood, climb up to the bamboo forest through the back door, or simply sit and have a chat with me.
After a day of lazy excursions, return to a house filled with soft music, cozy lights and something delicious simmering on the stove.
To wind down the day, sit at the kitchen island, drink local wine, and listen to vinyls. Thereafter, sink into soft jumbo pillows, feel the quiet stillness, and drift off to blissful sleep.
